"The Way" is a 2010 American movie directed, produced and written by Emilio Estevez, starring his father Martin Sheen. Emilio himself acted as son Daniel!

மார்ட்டின் ஷீன் நடித்த “The way”. யாத்திரைக்கு சென்ற மகன் புயலில் சிக்கி கொல்லப்படுகிறான். அப்பா மார்ட்டின் ஷீன் மகன் முடிக்காமல் விட நேர்ந்த அந்த யாத்திரையை அதே பாதையில் இவர் தொடங்குகிறார்.

Tom: [Having been handed the box with his son's ashes] I'm going to walk the Camino de Santiago.

Captain Henri: But you haven't trained for this walk, and no disrespect, you are more than 60 years old.

Tom: [shrugs] So it'll take me a bit longer than most.

Captain Henri: You'll be lucky if you finish in two months.

Tom: Well, then I'd better get started. We're leaving in the morning.

Captain Henri: [Looking a bit confused] "We"?

Tom: [Holding up the box with his son's ashes] Both of us.

மகனுடைய சாம்பலுடன் trekking போகிற தகப்பன்.

Tom: I'm sorry about your baby.

Sarah: I'm sorry about yours.

Tom: Mine was almost 40.

Sarah: Yeah, but he'll always be your baby.

Padre Frank: I'm a priest. It's kinda' my job.

ஜே.எம் கூட்ஸியின் மாஸ்டர் ஆஃப் பீட்டர்ஸ்பர்க் நாவல் தாஸ்தயேவ்ஸ்கியை நாயகனாகக் கொண்டது.

“Stiff shoulders humped over the writing-table, and the ache of a heart slow to move. A tortoise heart.”

இறந்து விட்ட தன் மகன்(step son) வாழ்ந்த அதே இடம், அதே அறையில் தாஸ்தயேவ்ஸ்கி வந்து தங்குகிறார்.

Hanging over the novel is a scene from Coetzee's own life: the death of his son at 23 in a mysterious falling accident. 

கூட்சீ இதை எழுதியதற்கு காரணம் கூட்சீ யின் மகன் 23 வயதில் ஒரு விபத்தில் இறந்ததால் தன்னுடைய புத்திர சோகத்தையே எழுதினார் .

‘The Master of Petersberg’ நாவலிலும் நாயகர்கள் அந்தத் துயரத்தை இப்படி எதிர் கொண்டு தவிக்கிறார்கள்.

புத்திர சோகத்திற்கு ஆளானவர்கள் தசரத சக்ரவர்த்தி, ராவணன், துரோணர், திருதராஷ்ட்ரன் என்று ஆண்களையே குறிக்கிறார்கள்.
